Gail, “The Book Lady,” was an avid reader and our mom. She passed away suddenly within 5 weeks of receiving her diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer in September of 2022.

While planning her memorials, we learned that she had the nickname of “The Book Lady” from her time volunteering at The Prop Shop of Eden Prairie. We thought it was a fitting tribute since she was able to share her love of books with many people there.

Our mom left no doubt how proud she was of her kids and how much she loved us. We are her living legacy, but our mom also believed in making the world a better place and in the transformational power of literature.

To that end, we want her legacy to continue by sharing literature with others. We look forward to donating her library* to those who need to go on a journey with the turn of a single page. We hope to add to The Book Lady’s collection in years to come with donations and recommendations from her friends, family, and followers.
